Memo from Management

On October 1, 2024, The Center will begin to offer the Front Door Diversion Program (FDDP).  Under the leadership of Jessica Dansberry, our FDDP Team will accept referrals from Touchette Regional Hospital in Cahokia Heights, IL, and from Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois.

Jessica and her team will make an initial assessment within 24 clock hours of the referral, including holidays and weekends.

In addition to clinical services, we will also provide all the services needed to maintain the participant’s clinical stability by assisting to secure transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, income, employment, and all governmental medical benefits as requested and/or needed for the client to remain in the community and to continue their recovery.

Double Issue… Double the Fun

Well, CBHC Team,

It has been a while since you heard from us.  Due to changes in our onboarding process and many new hires, I was unable to get everything together in time for our amazing Marketing Team to get the September newsletter out.  So, this month you have a double issue!  We’ve got twice the birthdays, twice the new hires, twice the employees of the month, and twice the crosswords!

This newsletter might be a bit longer than our normal ones, but you will want to still want to check it out to learn about changes and growth here at The Center, important updates, and a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card!

While we’re at it, if you would be interested in helping as a member of the marketing team, reach out to me at jdollar@cbhc1.org.

Thank you,

Jordan

Board Gala Cancellation

Please note that the CBHC Gala scheduled for this November will be cancelled and replaced with a smaller board meeting and dinner.  While we are sorry to see the event cancelled, low ticket sales made it necessary.  Thank you to the volunteers of the CBHC board for your oversight and care of the organization.

Adopting Families for Christmas

Last year we adopted 3 families for Christmas.  We were able to give every child gifts and a new pair of shoes.  Each parent got food, gift cards, cleaning supplies, and a “self-care basket”.  It was a major success and really lit up the lives of three of our families.

As we speed into Fall, it’s time to begin planning for 2024’s Christmas families!

We need families to be nominated.  Do you have a family in one of your programs that will struggle to have holiday gifts?  Let HR know!  Email Jordan at jdollar@cbhc1.org.

Be on the lookout for opportunities to donate gifts, participate in fundraisers, and wrap or deliver presents.  As we move into November and December, be sure to keep an eye out for emails on how you can participate.

September and October’s Birthdays

Wishing a BIG happy birthday to all of those in the CBHC family!

Open Enrollment is Coming Soon

Open enrollment is the time when you choose or make changes to your benefits for 2025.  Unless you meet special criteria (a qualifying life change like losing insurance you previously had, losing a family member, having a baby, or adopting a child), open enrollment is the only time that you can make changes to your benefits.

Whether you want to choose different benefits, decline benefits, keep similar benefits for 2025, or enroll in new benefits, you need to attend an open enrollment meeting with HR.

Please help us prepare for your meeting by filling out the survey form here: https://forms.microsoft.com/r/XGdjiCLpRp, and be checking your email for a link to schedule your meeting.  Meetings will happen at the end of October and beginning of November.

Recovery Conference Wrap-up

The 2nd Annual CBHC Recovery Conference, held on September 27, 2024, was a resounding success! With 252 guests in attendance, the conference received rave reviews for its engaging workshops and informative sessions. Notable workshops included the Services in the LGBTQ+ Community with 18 attendees, the TASC Deflection Project with 24 attendees, and the Addiction Cycle/Individual Addiction Cycle Workshop, which saw 33 attendees.

Overall, the event fostered an atmosphere of learning and support, leaving attendees inspired and better equipped to continue their recovery journeys. The Center is already looking forward to next year’s conference!

She is a very hard and kind worker.”
